I guess there is a message hidden somewhere in this blog post…

This weekend, I almost regressed, or at least found myself ready to go there. Saturday night, I received a call from a friend I have not seen in about three years! Once upon a time, this was an important person in my life with which I shared many experiences and memories with (she and my closest inner circle know who I’m talking about), but our relationship sort of switched up and the reason I have not seen her for so long is because she is like me; she’s a go-getter and has some unstoppable and determining things going on in the “Big Apple” with her professional acting career, which leaves no room for this St. Pete fitness guru making things happen down here. Both of us have gained a measure of success with the paths we’ve taken.
Anyway, we all (including a good friend of hers) met up at downtown’s Zorrito’s restaurant for dinner and reunited; but right after our departure I began to think about the “old times” and the “what ifs” and all that stuff. Eventually, I had to subjectively slap myself into reality afterward and understand, by reminding myself, what is going on with me RIGHT NOW .
Since the initial split a few years ago, I have “licked my wounds” and launched an unbelievably fierce and successful entrepreneurial campaign to get you in the best shape of your life. In addition to my collegiate career, this is all I do which requires a great deal of focus on my part. Absolutely nothing will break my momentum. To mention that I have incredible ambition would be an understatement. I AM HUNGRY!!!

I am a hungry beast!

My business
To make a long story short, there is no going back! Besides, I’m happy in ALL aspects. It is my decision to post and write about this as a message because no matter what place and space we are in time, we may be briefly side-tracked and confronted with a situation that causes us to make a choice: whether to regress (going back to the old habits), or keep moving onward with our personal goals.
Stumbling blocks are normal, but instead of regressing and capitulating, it is your responsibility to embrace them and move forward, staying consistent with reaching your goals. You may be on the path of losing inches in the waist, being the hottest specimen to ever walk the beach, or just want to change your fitness lifestyle altogether. At times you may be tempted to eat that whole box of pizza or you may think back to all of the times you tried to live a healthy life and failed. Or, you can do what I did and temporarily dwell on pleasant experiences and ideas that do not necessarily compliment your current goals. I was mentioning my experience as an example but I am convinced you can apply this to any goal you may have in life. But you know what? Time moves forward; not backwards, and you have to move forward so YOU don’t live in the past and regress, whether it is about your fitness, what’s going on at work or just about your personal business.

There's no going back in time; You gotta keep pushin' ahead!
What are you trying to accomplish? What are your goals in life? How will it make you feel when you reach them? Apply this advice to any of your goals and watch how successful you will become in reaching them.
Stay strong and focused.
